Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of History of Art is to provide excellent education and scholarship in the history of art and art theory and criticism. Included in this mission is the effort to be known nationally and internationally for creativity and academic achievements. Understood in this mission is the necessity for continuous improvement. In all aspects of the execution of this mission, the emphasis is and will continue to be more on the quality of the work than on the quantity.
