Requirements B.A.: History of Art Minor
The B.A. degree with a minor in the History of Art requires five courses (twenty-five credit hours) from the department's offerings, at least two of which are at the 500 level or higher. For the minor, not more than three courses at the 200 or 300 level may be used to complete the 25 required credit hours. Upper-level courses are numbered 500 and above. In order to take courses at the 600 level, the student must have the stated History of Art prerequisite, permission of the instructor or an appropirate course in another department (as approved by a History of Art advisor).
A department faculty advisor can assist you in designing a suitable minor program from the suggested list of courses. Upon completion of the appropriately distributed 25 credit hours in History of Art, a faculty advisor will approve and sign a Minor Program Form. You may then file this form with your college or school counselor to receive a minor in History of Art.
