Christian Kleinbub studies the art of the Italian Renaissance with particular focus on the work and legacy of Raphael and his milieu. His interests include perspective, art theory, and period approaches to vision and the visionary. In future projects, he plans to explore the rise of the modern conception of the artist and the impact of Renaissance science and philosophy on painting. He maintains a secondary interest in Pre-Columbian art, especially Andean.
