Mabi Ponce de León studies the intersection between art, politics, gender, and the body in contemporary Latin American art. Countries of interest include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay - the Southern Cone.
A studio artist and curator working on her PhD in art history, Ponce de León has received a studio BFA from Florida International University, a studio MFA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a history of art MA from The Ohio State University.
