Artist Talk: Zhang Hongtu
History of Art Distinguished University Professor Julia Andrews will be in conversation with artist Zhang Hongtu, whose work Bird's Nest in the Style of Cubism (2008) is featured in the Wexner's current exhibition, After Picasso: 80 Contemporary Artists. Sharp and at times satirical, Zhang's work has faced censorship both in China and the West; his Bird's Nest in the Style of Cubism, for example, was seized by Chinese authorities on its way to an Olympic-themed exhibition in Beijing but later returned.
