The History of Art minor provides a complement to many other areas of study, including Art, Design, Anthropology, History, English, Business, Engineering, and many others. Students may overlap up to two courses between the History of Art minor and their General Education (GE) courses.
DECLARE A MINOR
To learn more about or to declare a minor, students should set up a meeting with a Faculty Advisor within the History of Art Department
COMPLETE COURSEWORK
A minor in History of Art requires five courses (15 credit hours) from any of the Department's course offerings.
At least two of these courses must be at or above the 4000-level.
FINALIZE MINOR
Once the student has completed or enrolled in all 15 credit hours, they should meet again with the Faculty Advisor, who will approve the completed minor.
We encourage our History of Art minors to become active members of the Department; this includes attending lectures, social events, and joining our undergraduate student organization, HAUS. Minors are also encouraged to take part in History of Art study abroad programs.
