Animal Mummies in Ancient Egypt

Lecture with Dr. Sarah Schellinger

It is undeniable that the ancient Egyptians had a close connection with the animal world as seen in their religious pantheon, statues, and tomb paintings.  This talk will highlight their relationship through the Egyptians' creation of animal mummies adn how non-invasive technology aids in studying them. 

Dr. Schellinger will be teaching History of Art 4312 in SP20 and enrollment begins Oct 14, 2019.
