MA Candidate Anna Talarico Receives Alumni Grant for Graduate Research and Scholarship
MA in Contemporary Art and Curatorial Practice candidate Anna Talarico received an Alumni Grant for Graduate Research and Scholarship (AGGRS) from The Graduate School in support of her forthcoming thesis exhibition Partially Buried: Land-Based Art in Ohio, 1970-Now which will be on view at the Columbus Museum of Art from May 8 – November 28, 2021. Anna received one of the few $5,000 AGGRS awards, which will fund exhibition expenses and will primarily support the crating, shipping, and loan fees for artworks by Michelle Stuart, a pioneering artist in the Land art movement. Drawn from artworks in the Columbus Museum of Art collection, Partially Buried: Land-Based Art in Ohio, 1970-Now represents a collaborative partnership between the Columbus Museum of Art and The Ohio State University’s Department of History of Art. The exhibition is also sponsored by a Community Engagement Grant from The College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University as part of the Global Arts + Humanities Discovery Theme. Her advisors for her research and exhibition are Kris Paulsen and Danny Marcus.
