PhD Student Tony Del Aversano Presents at the Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies in Durham, North Carolina

In April 2025, PhD student Tony Del Aversano attended the 24th Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies, in Durham, North Carolina and co-hosted by Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill. There, he presented his paper “Queering Ephemeral Bodies: Visual Representations of Angels in Trecento Italian Painting” at a panel titled Painting Across the Italian Renaissance.

Tony’s trip was generously supported by an Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Small Grant and the Cathleen M. Murnane Travel Scholarship Fund.
