Professor Kris Paulsen Contributes Essay to New Book on Photographer Debi Cornwall
Professor Kris Paulsen contributed an essay, “Simulating Citizenship,” to a new book on Debi Cornwall, Model Citizens. Cornwall’s new body of work takes “the United States as a case study into a global phenomenon: How have staging, performance, and roleplay come to inform thinking about citizenship in a violent land whose people no longer agree on what is true?” Simultaneously published in English and French editions, the book accompanies an exhibition as part Les Rencontres d’Arles de la Photographie.
