2024-03-05 16:30:00 2024-03-05 18:30:00 Helen Molesworth in Conversation Molesworth, who held the position of chief curator of exhibitions at the Wex from 2002 to 2007, returns for a reading from her new book, Open Questions: Thirty Years of Writing about Art followed by a discussion with Lisa Florman, Professor of History of Art and Vice Provost for the Arts at Ohio State. Over the past three decades, Molesworth’s singular voice and lively curatorial vision have established her as one of the most dynamic and influential thinkers in the art world. Open Questions, the first ever collection of her writings, presents 24 essays from the past 30 years gathered from exhibition catalogues and art publications such as Artforum, Document, frieze, and October.In this wide-ranging conversation, Molesworth and Florman will explore art’s unique capacity for merging knowledge and feeling, reflect on Molesworth’s past writing, and consider new ways of viewing and thinking about contemporary art. The conversation will be followed by a book signing in the lower lobby, with copies available for purchase in the Wexner Center Store.
