Alumna Ariana Maki (PhD 2013) served as U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Bhutan (2019-2020). She was affiliated with the College of Language and Culture Studies, Royal University of Bhutan, in Taktse, Trongsa.

While there, she co-taught courses with Bhutanese colleagues on Himalayan art history and material culture and conducted professional development workshops for interested faculty. Though cut short by COVID-19, the partnerships have continued well past the duration of the Fulbright. (Listing in Fulbright directory.)
