In November 2024, PhD candidate April Riddle traveled to Los Angeles to conduct dissertation research. At the Getty Research Institute, April spent time in the archives studying documents from the Allan Kaprow Papers that are central to her first dissertation chapter. While in LA, April also took the opportunity to see several exhibitions in the PST ART: Art & Science Collide program. Some highlights included “Joseph Beuys: In Defense of Nature” at the Broad and “Digital Witness: Revolutions in Design, Photography, and Film” at LACMA. This trip was generously supported by the Arts & Humanities Graduate Research Small Grants Program.
