Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Bre Eickholt (BA 2024) Accepts New Job at Downtown Columbus, Inc.

Recent History of Art Graduate Bre Eickholt has accepted a new job at Downtown Columbus, Inc. The organization is a private nonprofit that strives to improve the connectivity, livability, and inclusivity of the Downtown Columbus experience. Among other things, the group manages the Columbus Commons venue on the site of the old City Center Mall. Bre is now working as the organization’s Social Media and Marketing Coordinator and helps to support their advertising, social media, and community outreach operations. She also develops graphic, video, and written content for Downtown Columbus’s social media channels.

Asked about her new role, Bre said: “I love getting the opportunity to meet, highlight, and collaborate with a wide variety of residents, business, and organizations. It’s so great getting to showcase all there is to do and see in Downtown Columbus. Getting to experience Downtown every day and spreading the word about vibrant events, businesses, art, and more is a joy!”

She was also eager to promote Wanderlights, an upcoming holiday event organized by Downtown Columbus Inc. The event will feature over 500,000 lights and will expand from Columbus Commons to Bicentennial Park.
