Emeritus Professor of History of Art Ron Green, a specialist in film, has published a new article in the online film journal, Senses of Cinema. The article, “Jacob Holdt’s American Pictures: A Note on Style in Poor Cinema,” is an extension of Professor Green’s earlier work on the filmmaker Oscar Micheaux, and part of his ongoing work on the phenomenon that he refers to as “poor cinema.”  Read the full article on the Senses of Cinema website.
