Maggie Wilson traveled to Germany and Belgium during the month of June to conduct pre-dissertation research. With support from History of Art, the Nicholas G. Howe Memorial Fund and the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Research Small Grants Program, Maggie visited major museum collections and toured medieval churches and convents that will feature in her future dissertation.

She also was able to more closely examine objects from her previous research, such as the Christ-John Sculpture Group held in the Mayer van den Bergh Museum in Antwerp and a thirteenth century beaded ciborium in the Schnütgen Museum in Cologne.
