PhD Student Michiko Kubota Presents at the College Art Association Conference in Chicago
PhD Student Michiko Kubota traveled to Chicago in mid-February to present at the College Art Association 2026 conference. Participating in the panel on “Gendered Mediations: Materials, Mediums, Artistic Practices in Twentieth-Century East Asia,” where Distinguished Professor Emeritus Julia Andrews acted as discussant, while Professor Keyu Yan (Savannah College of Art and Design) and Research Scholar Ina Choi (Barnard College) acted as co-chairs. Michiko presented on her work “Codeswitching Through Sumi: Shinoda Toko.”
There was even an OSU reunion later in the week!
