On March 2, PhD student Peter Smyth presented a paper entitled “Miraculous Kitsch: Comics, Painting, and the Modernist Anticipation of Novelty” at the 2023 International Conference on Narrative in Dallas, Texas. This trip was supported by departmental funding.
