The department congratulates graduate student Yiwen Liu for receiving the Graduate Associate Performance Award (GAPA). This award is given to graduate students who exhibit exceptional performance in their academic work while providing caregiving for children and others. This year, the award focuses on rewarding those students who have navigated the challenges of the pandemic while still providing care and exceling academically. Liu was one of five College of Arts and Sciences GAPA recipients selected through a competitive application process.
