Dr. Katie Rask (PhD 2012), University of Tennessee will present "Encountering the Divine in Ancient Greece: An Archaeological Perspecctive." This lecture will focus on how the ancient Greeks and Etruscans dealt with the divine in material terms.  Using a devotionalist approach, Dr. Rask examines portraits dedicated in sanctuaries for insights into how the ancients perceived the divine, and worked with it.
