The Department would like to congratulate all of the 2024 History of Art graduates. The Department also recognizes two undergraduate 2023-24 graduates who have received departmental awards. 

The Department Valedictorian in History of Art is an award given every year to a graduating senior with the highest GPA.  This year’s award goes to Dani Kissinger. Great work, Dani!

The Barbara Groseclose Award for Outstanding Paper in the History of Art is given every year to a graduating senior who produced an exceptional paper in the senior research seminar. It is named after a beloved emeritus faculty member who taught American art at OSU for a number of years. This year’s award goes to Iris Dow for their outstanding paper “The Origin of Degas’s Danseuses: Mlle Eugénie Fiocre in the Ballet “La Source” written for Professor Shelton’s 4016 Senior Research Seminar. Congratulations, Iris!
