The History of Art Department congratulates Professor Lisa Florman, who has been appointed Ohio State’s Vice Provost for the Arts, effective September 15, 2022.  As vice provost for the arts, Lisa will support and advise the central administration on arts and culture initiatives, priorities, and strategies. In doing so, she will facilitate the integration of the arts into the university’s tripartite mission of scholarship, education, and service. She will support greater collaboration between arts entities on our campuses and the communities we serve.

Since 2021, Lisa has served as associate dean of interdisciplinary studies and community engagement in the College of Arts and Sciences.
