The History of Art Department congratulates Schuyler Black-Seitz on successfully defending his dissertation, “Modernism in the Service of Capital: The Art of Charles Sheeler, 1915-1959.” Schuyler was advised by Professor Jody Patterson; also serving on her dissertation committee were Professors Lisa Florman and Karl Whittington.
