History of Art Course Travels to Venice, Italy

In the second half of May 2025, Prof. Kris Paulsen and PhD Candidate Liz Heise-Glass traveled with 21 undergraduates to Italy for a study abroad course, HISTART 4789.4 Venice "Art, Architecture, and Environment in the Lagoon City." 

The group spent the entire field experience portion of the course in Venice, visiting Saint Mark’s Basilica, Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta on the island of Torcello, Ca’Rezzonico, Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Museo Fortuny, and the Venice Biennale.

Undergraduates came from a range of majors, including design, architecture, art, education, and communications.
