Senior History of Art major Maddy Thompson has been awarded a scholarship of over four thousand dollars to travel to Europe to conduct research for her senior thesis project, “Materiality, Response, and Ownership: The Unexplored Significance of the Esztergom Staurotheke to Byzantine Religious Art.” Funded by an Undergraduate Research Scholarship and an International Research Grant from the OSU Honors and Scholars program, and working with Visiting Assistant Professor Ravi Binning, Maddy will be visiting Hungary this spring to study her primary work of art in person, as well as visiting other collections to see comparative materials. Congratulations, Maddy, and have a great trip!
