Associate Professor and Roy Lichtenstein Chair of American Art Jody Patterson has been awarded a Visiting Senior Fellowship at the Center for Advanced Study of the Visual Arts (CASVA) at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.  She will be in residence at the center from May to July 2023, working on her new book project, “What About Modern Art and Democracy”: Realism, Humanism, and American Art in the 1940s.
