The department congratulates Dr. Rebecca Howard, who received her PhD from OSU in 2017, on her new appointment as Assistant Professor of Early Modern Art at the University of Memphis. Dr. Howard has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Memphis for several years, and we are delighted for her that she has been offered this tenure track position. She is a scholar of Early Modern Italy, having completed her dissertation under the direction of Professor Christian Kleinbub, and she is currently revising a book under contract with Amsterdam University press called Portraiture and Mnemonics in Renaissance Italy: Commemoration through Body and Brain. Congratulations Dr. Howard!
