In September 2024, graduate student Asia Adomanis traveled to New York to attend the opening reception of the Legacies: Asian American Art Movements in New York City (1969-2001) exhibition at NYU’s 80WSE gallery. The exhibition featured artworks and primary sources important to Asia’s dissertation research.
While in the city, Asia also visited the exhibition The Appearance: Art of the Asian Diaspora in Latin America & the Caribbean at the Americas Society/Council of the Americas and the galleries at the Art Students League.
This trip was generously supported by the Arts & Humanities Graduate Research Small Grants Program.
