In April, Keyu Yan traveled to Houston to conduct dissertation research. He visited the exhibition titled “Xu Bing: Word Alchemy” at the Asia Society Texas Center. Xu Bing is one of the key artists featured in Keyu’s dissertation. During his visit, Keyu had productive conversations with Dr. Owen Duffy, the Nancy C. Allen Curator and Director of Exhibitions at the Center, who also served as the co-curator of the Xu Bing exhibition. This research trip was supported by the Murnane Travel Scholarship.
