PhD Candidate Schuyler Black-Seitz Conducts Research in D.C. and New York
In August 2024, PhD candidate Schuyler Black-Seitz traveled to Washington, D.C. and Bard College in New York to conduct dissertation research. In D.C., Schuyler visited the Archives of American Art to look at files related to the artists Charles Sheeler, Ralston Crawford, and George Ault. At Bard, Schuyler reviewed the files of Stefan Hirsch, who taught at the college for many years. Both trips were made possible by the generous support of a Graduate Research Small Grant and the Cathleen M. Murnane Travel Fund.
