In November, PhD Candidate Schuyler Black-Seitz traveled to Houston, Texas to present at the fifth annual conference of the International Society for the Study of Surrealism. His presentation, “Between Marx and Freud: Walter Quirt and American Surrealism in the 1930s,” comprises part of Schuyler's dissertation research and was part of a panel entitled "Coming to the United States." The trip was made possible by generous support from the History of Art Department.
