Julie Dentzer specializes in American and French post-World War II art. Her research focuses on the connections between arts and politics. Julie’s work is interdisciplinary as her dissertation focusing on French artist François Dufrêne, a poet, revolutionary writer and visual artist, shows. 

Julie received her BA and MA in History of Art from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and wrote her thesis on Jasper John’s critical reception.   She is currently a PhD candidate at The Ohio State University and writing her dissertation entitled “François Dufrêne, les dessous.”
