Adrian Butler (He/Him) is PhD student with a focus on gender, classical reception, and mysticism in late Italian Medieval to early Renaissance art. Material culture and interdisciplinary studies are also areas of interest. He completed his BA in Art History and Film Studies from The University of Colorado, Denver, and his MA in Art History from The University of Denver (MA thesis titled "Myth, Mandrake, and Veneficia: Visualizing Natural Magic Through the Witch-Goddess Circe in Early Modern Europe.")
