Erin Michiko Kubota is a PhD student studying Japanese modern and contemporary calligraphic art. She is particularly interested in historiography, global modernism, interdisciplinary discourse between art and literature, and gender studies. Prior to joining the History of Art Department at OSU, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College.
