Camellia Valencia is a PhD student studying artists who work with impressionistic techniques from Latin America, focusing on painters from the late 19^th and early 20^th century. She is particularly interested in the transatlantic movement of art and artists during this time, focusing on the formation of cultural and national identity in relation to artistic practice and the visual tool of the landscape. Prior to joining the History of Art Department at OSU, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University.
