Join History of Art alum Catherine Walworth (PhD 2013) and History of Art Chair Karl Whittington for a discussion of what it is like to work as a museum curator. Dr. Walworth will describe her career path in the nine years since she received her degree, which has included curatorial positions at multiple institutions and the publication of a book, Soviet Salvage: Imperial Debris, Revolutionary Reuse, and Russian Constructivism (Penn State University Press, 2018). Dr. Walworth will offer a sense of the different careers one can undertake in art museums, give advice on graduate school, and discuss some of her recent curatorial projects.
Panelists:
- Catherine Walworth, Curator of Drawings, Arkansas Museum of Fine Art
- Karl Whittington, Associate Professor and Chair of History of Art, Ohio State
