Delia Miklowski (History of Art Major) Completes Summer Internship at Local Gallery

History of Art major Delia Miklowski used her summer break to complete an internship as part of the Department’s course, HISTART 4191. This course, offered each semester, allows students to gain practical work experience in the arts.
Between May and August, Delia worked with one of Columbus’ most vibrant art spaces, ROY G BIV Gallery. Founded in 1989 and now located in the Franklinton Arts District, ROY G BIV focuses on providing exhibition opportunities for emerging artists from Ohio. Working under the gallery’s Executive Director, Amy Schuessler (who also lectures in the department), Delia worked with artists to install and de-install their works in the gallery and learned about the ins and outs of running a non-profit gallery space.
Delia’s experience with the gallery was so enriching that she plans to stay on with the gallery throughout the coming academic year.
