The Department would like to congratulate all of the 2025-26 History of Art graduates. The Department also recognizes two undergraduate 2025-26 graduates who have received departmental awards. 

The Barbara Groseclose Award for Outstanding Paper in the History of Art is given every year to a graduating senior who produced an exceptional paper in the senior research seminar. It is named after a beloved emeritus faculty member who taught American art at OSU for a number of years. This year’s award goes to Kat Gallaugher for her outstanding paper "Monstrosity and Subversion: Florine Stettheimer’s The Cathedrals of Art as Satire”  written for Prof. Ghosh's History of Art 4016 Senior Seminar. Congratulations, Kat!

The Department Valedictorian in History of Art is an award given every year to a graduating senior with the highest GPA.  This year’s award goes to Elise Vercoe. Great work, Elise!
