The Department congratulates Linda Huang on the successful defense of her dissertation entitled, "Re-imagining Post-socialist Corporeality: Technology, Body, and Labor in Post-Mao Chinese Art."

Linda recently received news that part of her dissertation (a shortened version of the second chapter) has been accepted for publication in the fall 2021 issue of Art Journal. The title of the essay is "The Uncertain Body: Lin Tianmiao's Mother Machine and Post-socialist Biopolitics."
