The History of Art Department – current and emeritus faculty and graduate students - gathered at the home of Department Chair Karl Whittington to celebrate our colleague Julia Andrews on the occasion of her retirement.

Dr. Andrews is retiring at the end of this month after a 36 year career at Ohio State, where she is a Distinguished University Professor. Known across the world as one of the leaders of the field of modern and contemporary Chinese Art History, Dr. Andrews has made innumerable contributions to our department, particularly through her advising of dozens of graduate students in the field (read more about her research and career here. She will be greatly missed in the department, but is planning to continue working actively in the field.
