PhD Candidate Asia Adomanis’ Article Published in Archives of American Art Journal
The Archives of American Art Journal Spring 2026 issue includes an article from PhD Candidate Asia Adomanis. The essay analyzes the reception of Chinese American painter and printmaker Seong Moy in mid-century American art criticism using the framework of “strategic hybridity.” Research for the article was undertaken at the Syracuse University Art Museum and Libraries and Smithsonian American Art Museum and supported by the SAAM Predoctoral Fellowship in Asian American Art.
