Gillian Zhang attended the Getty-Heidelberg Dissertation Workshop (Part II) this past July. Her presentation “Stone Painting: Ruan Yuan’s Evening Glow on the Autumn Mountain” focuses on a key object discussed in her dissertation. The Getty-Heidelberg Dissertation Workshop will fund Gillian’s travel stipend and a round-trip ticket to conduct further research for her dissertation in Europe later this year or early next year.
