PhD Student Maika Kagawa Bahr Conducts Research in Toyko
In July of 2024, PhD student Maika Kagawa Bahr was able to travel to Tokyo to conduct research for her dissertation. Supported by the Graduate Research Small Grants Program, Maika was able to visit the Advertisement Museum in Ginza, Tokyo National Museum, Sumida Hokusai Museum, Fujita Fujio Museum, and Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum to further her research on Japanese food history, advertisements, prints, and manga.
